How do I get Medicare Part A?

If you have worked 40 quarters, you will be enrolled into Medicare Part A three months before your 65th birthday or the 25th you are collecting Social Security disability benefits. For more on enrollment into Original Medicare click here.

How much will I pay for Medicare Part A?

If you (or you spouse) worked 40 quarters, Medicare Part A is premium free. For under 39 quarters you can purchase Medicare Part A for a monthly premium. Call Social Security 1-800-772-1213 for more information.
